My loving God,
I come to You with a heavy heart, holding up the one whose heart has been hardened by pain. I pray that You would gently break down the walls of hurt and fear that have been built up.
Heal the wounds that have caused this person to feel they must be so guarded. Fill their spirit with Your grace and love, and help them to find the path to peace.
I pray that You will soften their heart, and in time, help them to become a more gentle person, full of Your light.
I also pray for myself, and for all who have been touched by this situation. Give us strength to continue to hope and to trust in Your perfect timing.
