My loving God {prayer}

My loving God, 

I come to You with a heavy heart, holding up the one whose heart has been hardened by pain. I pray that You would gently break down the walls of hurt and fear that have been built up.

​Heal the wounds that have caused this person to feel they must be so guarded. Fill their spirit with Your grace and love, and help them to find the path to peace.

​I pray that You will soften their heart, and in time, help them to become a more gentle person, full of Your light.

​I also pray for myself, and for all who have been touched by this situation. Give us strength to continue to hope and to trust in Your perfect timing.

It's a place where you can be yours and they can be yours, a perfect, gentle fantasy. But even in this beautiful dream, there is a hint of something deeper - the acknowledgment that one day, you will

When the weight of depression is crushing me, lift me up. Please, quiet the voices in my mind that tells me I am not enough.

Help me find a path to forgiving myself for my own shortcomings and mistakes. Teach me to extend the same mercy to others.
